This post is a bit sad and personal for me and I’m sorry that C has nothing to do with Chocolate or Cookies, or Chocolate Cookies. Instead, it has to do with a special, talented writer who made an impact on my own writing start/life/whatever.
C stands for Christian Writer’s Guild.
CWG stands for Janet Chester Bly and her wonderful husband, the late Stephen Bly. This wonderful duo happened to be the mentors selected for me a few years back during one of the guild courses. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for their guidance, candid comments and easy explanations when I was just venturing into a world I knew so very little about at the time.
Stephen Bly recently passed in June and I am honored to have known “Uncle Steve” and “Aunt Janet”. He wrote many amazing books throughout his life and if you haven’t read anything by him yet, I would suggest that you do. I won’t mention my favorites either–just tell ya to close your eyes and grab a title–no matter what you pick, it’ll be a good, well-worth it read. ^_~
