writeIt’s update time!! I’ve been writing this post in my head all week. There’s so many fun things happening–I can’t wait to share it with all of you!

First order of business: WRITING!

Welp. How goes the writing? A tad slow. A bit fast. Kind of in between.

The majority of my creative focus has been dedicated to producing the print version of Trial by Earth over the past few months. Between proof copies, print margins, and spine width–I’ve been learning all those complicated publishing things that are needed to put a book out.

The second batch of proofs came in the mail today and I was dancing around the front yard like an overcaffeinated writer. Wait a minute. I am a–nevermind. You get the picture.

It was a surreal experience to hold a physical copy of Ellis’s story in my happy little hands and I am absolutely thrilled to share it. August 5th is my release date–and then I’m charging onto the next story.  Print copies purchased from my site will have the option of an autograph and a printed bookplate/postcard thingy. (I call them bookplates, you call them postcards. They are pretty, bookish things to collect).

Website got a bit of an overhaul (as I’m sure you noticed, lol). I am updating my graphics and banners in the meantime.

Story-wise–I was working on Rattlesnake, my camp nano novel for this month. (literally, the slowest written novel I’ve done this year, considering how much I wanted to do for it) and then some more flash fiction prompts again. I haven’t written as much as I’ve wanted to for this year, but that hasn’t slowed my imagination in the slightest. I’m simply running a little crazier than normal, trying to keep some semblance of headspace, so I don’t lose it completely. Ahem. Trust me on this.

At any rate, stay tuned for info. It’s coming your way.

Happy Thursday!
